Baldwin Locomotive Works 2-6-0, C/N 4336 circa 1878, the Cochetope, was built for the narrow gauge Denver and Rio Grande Railroad, working primarily freight service in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. She was rebuilt and sold to the Rio Grande Southern Railroad in January, 1891 and renumbered RGS No. 11. Image created by William L. Gould in SolidWorks 3-D CAD from extensive research and numerous original Baldwin Locomotive Works drawings, erecting cards and blueprints. Modeler's Note: The Bachman Mogul in 1:20.3 scale would be a relatively easy and exciting "kit-bash" conversion into No. 11! |

The Baldwin Locomotive Works 2-8-0 No. 42, the Anglo Saxon, circa 1881, was among the first of the Class 60 (later C-16) built for the narrow gauge Denver and Rio Grande Railroad, working both freight and passenger service in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. These diminutive locomotives became perhaps the most famous of all narrow gauge rod engines, with some serving well into the mid Twentieth Century following extensive rebuilding and modernization. Image created by William L. Gould in SolidWorks 3-D CAD from extensive research and numerous original Baldwin Locomotive Works drawings, erecting cards and blueprints.
